The fourth edition of the GreenPak Earth Garden festival in Malta will be held on the 22nd and 23rd of May. Following the model of the previous years, the festival will be held over a two-day period, providing two main areas: the Open Village, which will be on a free entrance basis, and a music concert on Saturday, which is accessible via ticket issue.

For this fourth edition, the organisers have decided to take GreenPak Earth Garden a step further by introducing a foreign band at the Greek Theatre. The Open Village, the free part of the festival, will once again provide entertainment for the large and diverse crowd of GreenPak Earth Garden. Reggae, jazz, ethnic vibes, acoustic sessions, jams and electronic music will feature to cater for all musical tastes. Artists at work, paintings and a photographic exhibition by Daniel Borg of Agni Photography will also appear in the art area. The holistic area is expanding and will form part of the ethnic market, which will include various stalls presenting health and food products.

The hugely popular Kids’ Area will not miss its yearly appointment with children from all over the island. And the aromas of various world cuisines will once again provide visitors with palatable treats. This year NGOs will be integrated within the ethnic market area –the fulcrum of this festival, thus ensuring that environmental awareness fully reaches the festival crowd. This edition will also for the very first time benefit from the presence of Green Police.

The festival will also open its gates for the exclusive GreenPak Earth Garden Kids’ Edition on Friday morning. This will consist of five hours of non-stop activities providing information to thousands of school children.

The GreenPak Earth Garden layout as well as the new innovations for this year continue to guarantee success for this festival that has become Malta’s favourite event among people of all ages and social backgrounds.
